Las Vegas Market Readies For Showroom Event

International Market Centers said that more than 1,300 furniture, home décor and gift resources, collectively among more than 200 showrooms, have committed to open for the Summer Las Vegas Market.

The event, running August 30 to September 3, will offer a revised showroom-only format with enhanced safety protocols and improved digital support.

Better than 40% of Las Vegas Market’s showrooms will open for business at the summer market. To help buyers discover new products and prepare for the show, Las Vegas Market has rolled out new digital tools and enhanced filters for its online exhibitor directory. The filters identify which summer market showrooms are open, exhibitors with ShopZio-enabled B2B e-commerce capabilities and tenants that are providing 3D showroom tours. In addition, a slate of the more than 20 Las Vegas Market webinars are offered in the lead-up to the summer show.

IMC will ask showrooms to follow its Together Safely protocols including the required use of personal protective equipment, temperature monitoring, social distancing, occupancy control, hand sanitizing/cleansing and significantly enhanced housekeeping. IMC also has instituted contactless badging, phased access and capacity limitations under its safety protocols and new registration requirements this summer.

“We are delighted to offer buyers and designers a safe place to shop and source,” said Bob Maricich, IMC CEO. “These resources, combined with a new slate of enhanced digital tools, will create a robust sourcing opportunity to help our industry get back to business.”
